Ministry to Military is a cross denominational organization reaching out to show the love of Christ to our military and their families since September 9th of 2001. God laid upon the heart of the founder of our group Max Andrews a need to reach our military men and women and their families for Christ. Max shared this vision with myself and other caring individuals he knew that had a heart for our Armed Forces. Since then we have been sharing the Gospel of Christ with as many men, women and young people as we can. God has truly blessed this outreach.
Our Interests
As you know, our service men and women currently are in a conflict that has taken over 2500 US military lives, lives that may or may not have known the salvation of our Lord. Too often these brave men and women are asked to lay down their lives just to spend eternity in hell. Truly the devil claims this as a great victory. Other causalities of a military life are the families of our service members. These brave families are left behind to carry on in sometimes very difficult situations, specifically financial stress, children that do not have a motherly or fatherly role model at very critical times, home and auto repairs, and a missing partner that would normally share the load of raising a family. Under these types of pressures a family becomes vulnerable to all types of temptations. Our interest is to make Christ known to the members of the Armed Forces of the United States and their dependents. To minister to the unique spiritual needs and issues of the members of the Armed Forces and their families and to promote, defend and strengthen the military family unit.
Highlights
To date Ministry to Military has shipped over 750 care packages and mailed 1000's of letters written by families, children and individual who just wanted to say thank you to the men and women who lay it all on the line for our freedom. We currently are providing lawn care for the families of 8 soldiers deployed from the Atlanta metro area. We have provided home repairs for 3 families and have the ability to assist several families with basic auto repair. The color guard has provided services for Hebron Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Snellville, The City of Dacula, Tap Pharmaceuticals, and Brenau University. We have also provided letters of encouragement to Injured soldiers at Walter Reed Army Hospital and Brooke Army Hospital. We are excited with the possibilities of working with a church in South Florida to provide services for the first time outside of Atlanta Georgia.
