How to Donate to Ministry To Military
As a faith-based mission organization Ministry to Military Inc. is not funded with grants or government monies. We are self-funded as the Lord brings the resources in. The military ministry program has been an ongoing lay ministry since September of 2000 but in the past few weeks Ministry to Military Inc. was developed. We are truly excited about what the Lord is doing in this ministry and praise God for the opportunity to further his kingdom by reaching out to the armed forces of The United States. We are in need of your help!
First, we need your prayers for this ministry. For God to prepare the hearts of those we will be serving and for those who work in this outreach.
Second, we need volunteers in several categories including mentors, color guard members, wives support group leaders, and lawn maintenance/handyman individuals. Some of these positions have specific requirements so please contact us if you are interested.
Third, we need churches to become partners with us. This partnership will allow us to use local church volunteers to reach the local military family and spread this ministry across the country. Pastors and mission outreach leaders interested are urged to contact us.
Fourth, your help is needed to financially support this ministry.
Please consider investing in this outreach to our brave service personnel. Your monthly gift of love is greatly needed and appreciated. Your contributions or gifts made to Ministry to Military Inc. are deductible as charitable contributions for Federal income tax purposes. You are very important to us. Thank you for praying about being part of this exciting ministry.
Operation Hero Miles
Ministry To Military Inc. in cooperation With the Fisher House Foundation is working to collect Hero Miles to aid military personnel and their families with travel assistance. Operation Hero Miles was created by Congressman C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger in cooperation with close to a dozen United States Airlines in October, 2003. The program allows troops stationed in Iraq or Afghanistan to fly home on leave for free. It also gives family members of wounded servicemen and women free plane tickets to visit their loved ones recovering at military hospitals across the country. Operation Hero Miles gives ordinary citizens an opportunity to help our troops in a very direct way that makes a real difference in their lives.
The following airlines are currently participating in Operation Hero Miles: AirTran Airways, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Midwest Airlines, Northwest Airlines, United Air Lines, and US Airways.
